April 12, 2025 - MSC World America Maiden Voyage

MSC Cruises may be a new name to Americans, but they're a major player in Europe, and the third or fourth largest cruise line in the world by passenger volume.  They're known for their flashy new ships and European styling, and the World America is the first sister ship to the World Europa - both of which are 216k GT beasts, carrying a maximum of nearly 6,800 guests!  We're onboard for World America's very first cruise, and if you've ever wanted to check out a maiden voyage this is a great opportunity.  Prices are surprisingly low for a maiden, and the ship will have a lot to offer both for past MSC guests, and those dipping their toe in for the first time.  The itinerary is pretty great, too - sailing out of Miami and visiting Puerto Plata (DR), San Juan, and MSC's private Ocean Cay Marine Reserve.   - Join Us!

January 19, 2025 - Scarlet Lady - CruiseHabit Group Cruise

This sailing is a CruiseHabit Group Cruise.  That means special events, value adds, and some surprises.  On a recent CruiseHabit Group cruise we enjoyed a private pub crawl, chartered a catamaran, arranged group dining, and hosted other events just for those sailing with us.  On this sailing we're renting out a private beach resort in Mexico as well as many things those who have sailed with us love.  Our partners at Touring & Cruises will help you plan and be there onboard with us to ensure smooth sailing. - Join Us!

October 25, 2024 - Utopia of the Seas

Utopia of the Seas is a new Oasis class ship, but she'll be unlike the others, with unique offerings and endless opportunity for fun - whether you're a family, a couple, or just someone who needs an escape for three or four nights.  In the past, it was often older ships, or at least less "WOW" ships making weekend runs, so we decided to check this out for ourselves just after she launches.  With a new tiki bar, a train-themed immersive restaurant, multiples pools, world-class shows, we figured we needed to check her out.  Making it all the better is the price.  Our friends at Touring and Cruises (formerly known as TouringPlans Travel) have space set aside for at up to $500 less than the public rates that are available in October of 2023 on the Oct 25, 2024 sailing - and they're fully refundable.  In addition to prices lower than you'll find directly with Royal, they'll throw in $50 of onboard credit.  Join us!

Oh, and while the ship is sure to be a destination in and of itself, for those wanting to touch dry land, we're visiting the private destination of Coco Cay.  So, whether on the ship or off, it's going to be a great weekend!  - Join Us!

Example Group Rates - Fully Refundable!

Space is limited, but as of Oct 28, 2023, these are some of the rates exclusively available to those booking through this offer.  Prices are for two guests in one room, before taxes.

  •  Boardwalk Balcony - $1291.54
  • Central Park Balcony - $1333.54
  • Others available, complete the form below to inquire.

April 6, 2024 - Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady

Looking to get away on an adults-only cruise of fun and relaxation, visiting places in the Caribbean you probably haven't explored yet?  We'll be on this group cruise, hosted by our friend Mike, from Touring and Cruise (formerly known as TouringPlans Travel).  Like on other group cruises we're involved with there will be extra fun and value on this cruise.   Remember, all Virgin Voyages sailings are adults-only, include all food, WiFi, tips, and more!  Join us for this chance to sail an exciting new line from Miami, visiting San Juan, Puerto Plata (DR), St Croix, and Bimini!  You can find more details at  - Join Us!

*Note: If you were looking for the Brilliant Lady cruise on April 6, 2024, Virgin has delayed deployment of that ship, and we've changed to Valiant Lady out of Miami on the same date.  We look forward to seeing you there!

January 27, 2024 - Icon of the Seas Maiden Voyage

Maiden voyages are always neat, usually full of swag, and interesting when you're among the first to see a new ship.  This time is really special, though, because Icon of the Seas isn't just the largest cruise ship ever built, but she introduces many new concepts to Royal Caribbean's offering.

A new entertainment neighborhood, an adult-only outdoor pool and bar, brand new dining concepts, new types of cabins, more sea views than recent Royal Caribbean classes (answering for a gripe we've had), and more.  Oh, and if you like the water park at Coco Cay, then you'll want to watch as we explore Category 6, an onboard water park with six water slides, including an open free-fall slide, the tallest drop slide at sea, racing slides, and even slides accommodating families of four.

We'll be sailing from Miami for seven nights, with stops in St Kitts, St Thomas, and Coco Cay and sharing everything we can while on this special cruise, so follow along on Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.  As of writing this, there are still some balcony staterooms and suites available, but act fast if you want to hang out on the maiden!  - Join Us!

October 8, 2023 - Norwegian Encore

It's been seven years since we cruised Alaska, and because we enjoyed our recent Norwegian Prima sailing so much (check out the vlog here) we've decided to try out Norwegian Encore, a Breakaway-Plus class ship from NCL.  We'll be sailing round trip from Seattle, with stops in Juneau, Skagway, a scenic tour of Glacier Bay, Ketchikan, and Victoria (BC).  Our Mt Roberts tram ride and hike, along with our day in Victoria were standouts from our last cruise, so we're excited to return.  Because this sailing is a little later in the year, we found rates to be very reasonable, and the Observation Lounge on Encore is *perfect* for watching the beautiful sites pass by as we sail.  - Join Us!

September 3, 2023 - Carnival Celebration

Since touring Carnival Mardi Gras (sister ship to Celebration) we were so impressed that we knew we needed to check her out for a proper cruise.  I promise, these new Excel Class ships are NOTHING like you've ever seen (from Carnival or anyone else).  Celebration and her sister aren't just the largest ships Carnival offers, but they have some truly innovative and wonderful features.  In addition to Bolt, the first roller coaster at sea, the ship includes Grand Central, a multi story atrium that is situated "sideways" compared to most ships, where the windows on one side bring in natural light as you stroll through shops, lounges, and nearby restaurants before the space transfers for evening entertainment.  The ship also packs a lot of options not just for dining, but neat outdoor areas, including The Patio, a pool area so nice we actually thought it was just for suites when we first walked through, plus a massive and beautiful adult-only Serenity area.

Making Celebration potentially more appealing (to us) than Mardi Gras, is that the Gateway zone is themed to travel, even featuring a train station-style flip board sign.  Add in the new "820 Biscayne" zone, a Miami-themed area, named after Carnival's HQ address, and we knew we had to see Celebration for ourselves.  The decor and theming on Mardi Gras were great, but this seems more our style.

Lattitudes Bar on Carnival Celebration

We'll be sailing for six nights out of Miami, visiting Cozumel, Mahogany Bay, and Costa Maya.  Space on this sailing is limited, as would be expected on Carnival's newest ship over a holiday, but if you want to join us you can take advantage of special offers just for CruiseHabit followers, thanks to our partners at TouringPlans Travel.  - Join Us!

Celebrity Beyond - April 8, 2023 - Group Cruise with CruiseHabit & Shiplife

Highlights from this trip:

We're teaming up with our friend J at Shiplife to set sail on the newest ship from Celebrity Cruises, Celebrity Beyond. She's got some significant enhancements over the already impressive and innovative Edge series ships and we have exciting exclusive events and offers put together for the group.  This seven night Western Caribbean cruise will be a unique one.  You can get more information at

February 22, 2023 - Scarlet Lady - "Kid Free February"

The perfect escape for anyone looking to sail from Miami, find some crystal clear blue waters, enjoy some adult time and adult beverages with fun people.  We'll be on this group cruise, hosted by our friend Mike, from TouringPlans Travel.  Like on other group cruises we're involved with there will be extra fun and value on this cruise.   Remember, all Virgin Voyages sailings are adults-only, include all food, WiFi, tips, and more!  Join us for this chance to sail an exciting new line, visit Bimini and Key West, and sail with a built in group of new friends. December 22, 2022 - Scarlet Lady - Christmas in Cozumel

Highlights from this trip:

Scarlet Lady is one of our favorite ships, and we can't seem to get enough.  At the last minute we decided to book a five night cruise over Christmas, calling on Cozumel and Bimini.  Last year we did the same thing (read our daily blog from that sailing here), and Virgin was definitely rather minimalist in terms of holiday decor and events, but they did try out some new menu items and we had a great time.  Will they be doing anything different? Come along to find out for yourself! - Get a Quote to Join Us *or* Book Yourself Now

December 09, 2022 - Wonder of the Seas - Naming Ceremony

Alright, well this one you actually can't join us on in person, but you can follow along!  We're boarding Wonder of the Seas, the world's largest cruise ship, for a two night naming ceremony cruise.  We sailed this ship on her maiden voyage earlier this year, and you can watch some videos we filmed onboard here. - Sail Wonder of the Seas

November 19, 2022 - Norwegian Prima

Highlights from this trip:

The Norwegian Prima is a brand new class of ship from Norwegian Cruise Lines, and it's breaking a lot of molds.  The renderings look far different than past NCL ships, in both layout and decor.  She'll have among the best passenger : space ratios in the contemporary market - more in line with premium lines!  This ship may well show a change in direction for Norwegian, and the industry overall, and that's why we wanted to be sure we're on for one of her first sailings in North America.  We'll be sailing seven nights to the Western Caribbean, including a stop at NCL's own Harvest Cay! - Join Us!

October 25, 2022 - AmaCerto 'Enchanting Rhine' - Our First River Cruise!

River cruising is something totally new to us and we're so excited to try it out.  We'll be sailing a type of cruise that's new to us, visiting places we've never seen, and trying out a cruise line that we've never experienced.  There is no way to express how much we're looking forward to trying out a river cruise on Ama and sharing the experience with you.

We'll start out in Basel (Switzerland) and stop in Breisach (Germany), Strasbourg (France), Ludwigshafen (German), Rudesheim (Germany), and Cologne (Germany), before ending in Amsterdam (Netherlands).  River cruising is a bit different in that we may end up taking excursions to other nearby places while in port.  We'll also be extending our trip on each end so we can enjoy more of Basel and Amsterdam.  - Join Us!

September 2, 2022 - Scarlet Lady Labor Day Getaway

Highlights from this trip:

We've been sailing Virgin quite a bit lately, but when the price is right, the timing is convenient, and they provide WiFi we can work off (just one day this time), then why not?  We had such a wonderful time on our recent group cruise, as you can see here, that it'll be fun to be back while taking things a bit more slowly.  This trip will take us from Miami, to Puerto Plata (DR), and then Bimini, where we can enjoy Virgin Voyage's Beach Club at Bimini.  Another five days on a great line with no kids in sight?  Sold.  - Join Us!

June 3, 2022 - Carnival Conquest *VERY Unique Ship*

Highlights from this trip:

Several years ago we visited Carnival Conquest for the day, and we've not stopped talking about it since.  (You can get a glimpse of the ship and read all about it here).  The decor is almost certainly like nothing you've ever seen.  If you want to see French Impressionism turned to 11 and sailing at 18 knots, then you're in luck.  It's also been a very long time since we sailed Carnival, so after years of Larissa telling Billy she really wants to spend more time on this unique ship, we're doing just that.  our three night cruise will visit Bimini in the Bahmas, about a month before we're back in the same port for our July group cruise! - Join Us!
