Usually ships go in for dry dock every few years, and while staterooms are often left largely unchanged during dry dock, this is when you're most likely to see stateroom updates.  After a lot of guest feedback however, the brand new Scarlet Lady, from Virgin Voyages, is already having some work done, resulting in some big changes in her cabins...

The final day of any cruise is a bit depressing for many.  With most Caribbean Virgin Voyages cruises spending that last day at The Beach Club at Bimini however, there is a lot of fun and relaxation to distract you from the reality that work be just a day away.  For us, we relaxed, even tried out a new activity, and then enjoyed a very peaceful final evening on board Scarlet Lady.

I love visiting new places, but sometimes, sea days are my favorite.  This sea day, however, was a work day for me.  Once I punched out though, it was time to enjoy Scarlet Night, a particularly interesting evening on Scarlet Lady...

I love going to new places, which made today’s port call on Scarlet Lady a mixed bag.  I went to a city I’d visited, but with some new elements.  While we didn’t do all we’d endeavored to experience, we had a nice day...

Like many children growing up, Christmas day was among the only times I was excited to get out of bed.  Today I woke up and I honestly didn’t remember it was Christmas, but I was as excited as ever, because I woke up on a cruise ship.  That’s a pretty good gift.

We’re on Virgin Voyage’s Scarlet Lady for the third time, but something is quite different, and I don’t just mean the itinerary.  See, since cruising returned to the Caribbean over six months ago, some lines have required masks, and others haven’t.  Virgin Voyages, with 100% vaccination rates, at embarkation testing, has not - but their guidance has just changed.  Over the next five nights we’ll see what has changed, and if the experience has been compromised.
