Norwegian signs multi-year partnership to with inflight entertainment company to bring next-gen experience to ships

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has penned a multi-year strategic partnership with Global Eagle, maker of in-flight entertainment systems.  This agreement will bring enhanced internet and entertainment services to Norwegian Cruise Line's fleet of 14 ships.  This is slated to include tiered plans for Wi-Fi, messaging services, and video.  In the future, guests will be able to access an integrated portal from their own smartphones and tablets, which will allow access to live and on-demand TV programming, movies, and more.  Further, the systems being put in place by Global Eagle will allow for dynamic adjusting on bandwidth for each ship based on demand.  This comes only a week after announcing Read more about Norwegian signs multi-year partnership to with inflight entertainment company to bring next-gen experience to ships

NCL Rolls Out New "Freestyle Choice Plans" For Onboard Internet

ncl's internet plansNorwegian Cruise Lines is brining new internet pricing models to the Escape and Getaway, and likely to the rest of the fleet in the coming months.  The new "Freestyle Choice" plans allow for unlimited rather than metered use.  Last year NCL announced a deal with Global Eagle Entertainment which promised to quadruple internet speeds across the NCL, Oceania, and Regent fleets. Norwegian Joy - Norwegian's new ship has a new approach to cuisine

The 168k gross-ton Norwegian Joy, heading to China in June of 2017, is breaking the mold in a number of ways but showing us that cruising out of Asia is not just moving into the modern era, but perhaps set to outpace the US cruise market in sophistication - just look at Royal Caribbean's decision to move the Quantum of The Seas to China.  The Joy's dining options alone are enough for me to take a second look at what NCL has to offer.
