WoW! I wish Royal still did that. I can remember getting the spiral bound travel books in the mail. I know it boils down to cost, but it was a cool part of the entire cruise experience.

I need to type of a review. For now I will say we definitely prefer cruising. Will we do a resort again? Yes

After four cancelled cruises we have decided to try an all inclusive resort. We have been on over 2 dozen cruises and purchased a "resort for a day" pass as an excursion, but have never made it our vacation destination. We are headed to Secrets Akumal in a few days and will be staying for five nights. Roundtrip air on American from DFW to Cancun was only $164 per person. We used the refund from our cancelled sailing to cover the cost. Look forward to actually being on vacation and comparing this style of travel to cruises. If you have done both, which do you prefer and why?
