daizyfernandes02 Posted yesterday at 07:42 AM Share Posted yesterday at 07:42 AM When I first started learning about focus meds like Adderall and modafinil, one of the biggest things I was curious about was how long they actually stay in your system. Modafinil, for example, is known for its longer-lasting effects with a smoother finish, while Adderall hits harder and wears off quicker, but it can still linger in your body longer than you'd think. For most people, Adderall’s effects last around 4 to 6 hours if you're using the immediate-release (IR) version, and 8 to 12 hours for the extended-release (XR). But even after the focus wears off, traces of it can still be detected. It typically lasts three to four days in urine, twenty-four hours in blood, forty-eight hours in saliva, and, astonishingly, ninety days in hair. Of course, this can vary based on your metabolism, how often you take it, your dosage, and even your hydration levels. If you're using it as prescribed, you're generally in the clear—but it’s always smart to know how long it hangs around, especially if you’re switching to something like modafinil or expecting a medication screen.
