PayPal acts as a digital wallet and intermediary between users' bank accounts/cards and merchants. Users link their financial accounts to their PayPal account. For online purchases, they select PayPal at checkout, keeping their bank/card details private. Money received into a PayPal account is held as a PayPal balance.

To send, receive, and withdraw money using a PayPal account, you can utilize the platform's features for these transactions. Sending money involves specifying the recipient's details and the amount, while receiving money typically involves sharing your own PayPal details for others to send to you. Withdrawing money allows you to transfer funds from your PayPal balance to a linked bank account or card.

Sending Money:
  1. Log in: Access your PayPal account through the website or mobile app.
  2. Navigate to Send: Choose the "Send" option, often found within the "Payments" or "Send & Request" section.
  3. Enter Recipient Details: Provide the recipient's PayPal username, email address, or phone number.
  4. Specify Amount: Enter the amount you wish to send, select the currency, and optionally add a note.
  5. Choose Payment Type: Select the appropriate payment type (e.g., "Paying for an item or service" or "Sending to a friend").
  6. Review and Send: Verify the transaction details, including any applicable fees, and confirm the payment.

Receiving Money:
  1. Share your PayPal details: Provide your PayPal email address or phone number to the sender.
  2. Funds are deposited: The sender can then use these details to send you money via PayPal.
  3. Funds appear in your balance: Once the transaction is complete, the money will be added to your PayPal balance.

Withdrawing Money:
  1. Access Wallet: Log in to your PayPal account and navigate to the "Wallet" section.
  2. Initiate Transfer: Click on "Transfer Money" and then select "Transfer to your bank".
  3. Choose Withdrawal Type: Select either "Instant Transfer" (fee applies) or "Standard Transfer" (no fee).
  4. Follow Instructions: Complete the process by following the on-screen instructions, including selecting your linked bank account.
  5. Funds are transferred: The funds will be transferred from your PayPal balance to your chosen bank account or card.
