We have been on over 2 dozen cruises and purchased a "resort for a day" pass as an excursion, but have never made it our vacation destination. We are headed to Secrets Akumal in a few days and will be staying for five nights. Roundtrip air on American from DFW to Cancun was only $164 per person. We used the refund from our cancelled sailing to cover the cost. Look forward to actually being on vacation and comparing this style of travel to cruises. My travel agent highly recommended it based on her personal experience. We have an ocean view club level room.
