  1. I had a similar experience with status match, but after emailing MSC Voyager Club about 2 weeks after submission, even though I didn't hear from them, I logged in and saw they had completed my status match. Hopefully you'll have a similar or better experience!
  2. YEA!! A Twangster report!!! Thank you so much! We're sailing the same itinerary in a couple of weeks and we're also first-time MSC (thanks @CruiseHabit Bill for the heads-up on the sale a couple weeks ago!). Were you able to status match prior to the cruise? If so, how did you receive your benefits (like the welcome cocktail and complimentary upcharge meal)?

    15 Day Cruise

No advice, just sending jealous vibes your way! ? I would love to do a transatlantic someday!!
  4. Jedi Jason, if it helps any, here in Dallas, we miss going to the Disney parks, too! ? We did decide to cancel our Baltic this summer. With work-from-home being extended until the end of April at the earliest now I would be more comfortable putting a bit more time between this and travelling to Europe. We're working with our travel agent to look at which options make the most sense for us. Hopefully a cash refund (since we're just barely before PIF date) that we can apply to a Disney cruise in December (we haven't been able to stomach the prices, but this may be just the excuse we need), or if it's FCC, we had booked an Anthem cruise in Oct '21 that we'd apply it towards.
  5. We're supposed to cruise the Baltic in July. Fingers and toes crossed it still happens! But if it doesn't, then we have Canada in September!
  6. Doing ok here in Dallas - first full week of work-from-home so we'll see how it goes. Amazingly, we haven't been able to find any savings/upgrades on either of this year's cruises, although we were able to upgrade our Carnival cruise next January. Stay safe, everyone!!
  7. Ohhhh... That's on my list!! We're doing a 7-night Italy cruise next year - Venice to Rome. I can't wait!!
  8. Morning! In an effort to escape the real world, I've been cruise dreaming! What's your Best Cruise Ever and why? Mine is the first Alaskan cruise I took in May of 2012. We sailed the Disney Wonder out of Vancouver and spent the whole week in awe! The scenery and the weather were beautiful! For my birthday, my Dad bought the Enchanted Taku Lodge excursion for us - float planes are wondrous things, and even better when they soar over glaciers! Bonus cruise - the Disney Dream Maiden Voyage. While not my favorite cruise (in part because of the itinerary), they truly rolled out the red carpet and made everyone on board feel like a VIP for the cruise!
  9. KathyC is right - a medium (or even large) ship would be good because of the activities. Although I'd love to see a less common destination, maybe New England or Mexican Riviera.
  10. So sorry the dinners were cancelled! I was looking forward to living vicariously through y'all to learn about her!
  11. Thanks!! I couldn't find anything on the Royal planner, but 90 minutes would be great! That would let us stay on board until 4:30, which would still be early to the airport, but not so early that we couldn't deal with it. And I would think the ship would be much more comfortable than a hotel room.
  12. Hi! I'm starting to get serious for the planning phase of my upcoming Baltic cruise and was remembering the ins and outs of how I got to this cruise (it started as a YOLO book it solo cruise to Norway, then morphed into a European capitals cruise, before turning into a Baltic cruise that was finally replaced by my current cruise - a Baltic with 2 days in St. Petersburg with my Mom). This was a very different process from how we normally plan. Usually we pick a time, set a budget, then find a cruise that fits. So - how do you pick a cruise?
  13. Hi! Currently we have a day room booked at the airport after our cruise (darn 9:30pm flight), but the cruise planner (we're on RCI) is now offering the stay later option for debarkation day. Has anyone done that? How late do you get to stay? I'm trying to decide if we would be late enough getting to the airport that I can release the day room at the airport hotel or would we still have several hours at the airport before we can check our bags. (I know we could be using that time to tour Stockholm, but I'm travelling with my mom and she is already stressing over how that would work with our bags and all, so I'm looking at other options.) Thanks!! Michelle
  14. Hi! We're cruising out of Montreal on RCL this September and are starting to research our pre-cruise activities. Since it's the end of a long travel day, we're thinking of finding a dinner cruise or nice restaurant somewhere. We're staying in Old Montreal near the port and will not have a vehicle. Any suggestions? TIA! Michelle
